  • Am I required to attend the seminar live to receive my CPE credit?  YES.
    Yes. The only way to earn CPE credit is to attend the seminar live. CLICK HERE for more details on how to earn your CPE and what is required to prove your attendance during the live seminar to receive your CPE credit. Through out the seminar words will be shared randomly. Email the required words on the Attendance Form within 48 hours from the end of the seminar to help@jjthecpacpe.com If you do no email the required words within 48 hours from the seminar's end, you will NOT receive CPE credit.   • Where do I email my Attendance Form to prove my attendance and receive CPE credit?
    Email the Attendance Form within 48 hours from the end of the seminar to help@jjthecpacpe.com If you do not email the Attendance Form within 48 hours from the seminar's end, you will NOT receive CPE credit.   • Where is my Zoom link to the live seminar?  I didn't get a Zoom link.
    Once you signed up and paid for the course, you received an immediate email with a Zoom link to the seminar. Go to that email. Consider searching your emails for the title of the course or "JJ the CPA." Also, in that same email, you received a link to a private webpage with the course materials. 30 minutes before the seminar is to begin, the link will again be provided on that private webpage. The email you used to sign up for the course, will be the email address these links were sent to. If you used your PayPal account to pay for the course, the email which that links to your PayPal account may have been the email you selected to receive this information. So look at that email account for the email. If you still cannot locate this email or the private webpage provided or the Zoom link, contact us no later than 30 minutes before the seminar is to begin. CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US
  • I don't have a PayPal account.  How do I pay?
    You do not need a PayPal account to pay for any seminar. If you see the PayPal icon at the time of payment, simply click on it, and then you will see an option to pay directly with your credit card (without the need for a PayPal account).
  • Do I need a Zoom account to attend the live seminar?  YES.  What do I do? How do I get a Zoom account?

  • When will I get my CPE certificate of completion?
    Within 3 business days of you emailing the completed, required Attendance Form to help@jjthecpacpe.com. This is a live format, and requires your attendance during the time designated.
  • What is the refund policy?
    CLICK HERE for refund policy. The refund policy was provided to you before you signed up and before you paid.
  • How long do I have to cancel my attendance for a full refund?
    There are no refunds for cancelling your attendance. You were made aware of this before you signed up. CLICK HERE for the refund policy and more details. Why can't you get a refund? CLICK HERE.
  • What Format is Used to Prove My Attendance to Earn Your CPE Credit?
    The seminar is delivered live by Zoom. A series of words will be shared randomly through out the seminar. You will submit those words on the Attendance Form by email within 48 hours after the end of the seminar to prove your attendance. You must present by email 70% of the words for each hour, for that hour of CPE to be earned. Email the Attendance Form to help@jjthecpacpe.com. Failure to submit these words within 48 hours will result in the forfeiture of earning any CPE for the seminar. There will be no refunds for your non-attendance or failure to submit the words timely. It will be made extremely clear (during the live seminar) the word is being shared, to prove your attendance.
  • When can I re-watch the seminar video?  Where is the link to re-watch the seminar?  How long can I re-watch the seminar?
    WHEN CAN I RE-WATCH THE SEMINAR VIDEO? Approximately 48 hours after the seminar ends. WHERE IS THE LINK TO RE-WATCH THE SEMINAR? A link to the video of the seminar will be emailed to you with your CPE certificate of completion. HOW LONG CAN I RE-WATCH THE SEMINAR VIDEO? 30 days after the date the seminar ends.
  • What materials are provided with the course?  When will I get the materials to the course?
    A pdf copy of the PowerPoint presented during the seminar will be provided 30 minutes before the seminar begins. It is not provided before then because the goal of the course is to provide the most up to date information possible. A link to this pdf copy will be placed on the private webpage you were given access to. You received the link to the private webpage by email immediately upon signing up and paying for the course. If you can't find the link to the private webpage, go back to the email you received upon signing up and paying for the course. You can search your emails for "JJ the CPA CPE."
  • When will the Zoom meeting open up before the live seminar begins.
    30 minutes before the live seminar begins, the Zoom meeting will be started and you can enter the Zoom meeting. Ensure you can see and hear the Zoom meeting upon your entry. Also, please mute yourself during the Zoom meeting.
  • I have the Zoom link, but how to connect to the live seminar?"
    Click on the Zoom link. It will open the Zoom application on your device to attend. If you having trouble with this contact us. The Zoom meeting for the live seminar will open 30 minutes before the seminar begins.
  • I can't hear the presenter during the live seminar.  What do I do?
    You may need to unmute your device or turn the volume up on your device. Also, be sure your device has speakers or the abillity to play sound. Use the chat box in the Zoom application to let the administrator know you can't hear the seminar. Will I get a refund if I can't hear the presenter during the live seminar? No. If others can hear the presenter, then the Zoom meeting is working or worked properly, and it would have to be technical issue on your end.
  • Can I ask questions during the live seminar?
    Yes. Such questions will be answered based on the presenters discretion and based on time constraints. The seminar will NOT last longer than the required time to present the CPE in full according to the number of CPE hours listed for the course. One hour of CPE is fifty minutes of participation and live attendance. The seminar legnth will be fifty minutes multiplied by the number of CPE credits listed for the applicable course.
  • What if I have a question after the seminar?
    You can ask your question by emailing help@jjthecpacpe.com. However, your email may not be answered depending on the nature of the question. Answering questions beyond the time listed of the seminar is not a part of the seminar.
  • How do I find the prerequisites, advanced preparation, technology requirements, learning objectives, major topics, field of study or CPE level a course has?"
    Each seminar has a complete page with these details. Please see the page of the applicable course for such details. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
  • What is the cut-off to sign up for a course?
    You can sign up for any course up to 5 minutes before the live seminar begins, as designated for each course.
  • What if I Don't Need CPE?  What if I am not a CPA, EA or Tax Pro?  Can I attend?  YES"
    You do NOT need to be a CPA, EA or tax professional to attend this seminar. It is open to the public and will benefit anyone interested in keeping up to date with the subject matter presented in the CPE course description.
  • Who is JJ the CPA?

  • Where do I find my states CPA CPE requirements?

  • How do I know if this CPE will count for my states CPA CPE requirements?
    Review your state CPA CPE requirements. Typically you will find your state's CPA CPE requirements at the states accountancy board. CLICK HERE for a list of the states with links state by state. You are responsible for knowing your own CPE requirements, just like any other CPE course in world. Some states require your provide the CPE program sponsors "state" ID. This CPE Program sponsor does not have any specific state IDs at this time. This CPE program sponsor has no separate state ID number for Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas or Pennsylvania.
  • Which states may require a state CPE program sponsor ID#?
    You will need to review your state's CPA CPE requirements to know. CLICK HERE for more informaiton and a list state by state. This CPE program sponsor does not have a separate state ID# for any state, including Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania.

  • How do I find this CPE program sponsors NASBA number?
    This CPE program sponsor is NOT registered with the National Associate of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) at this time. CPE program sponsors are not required to be registered with NASBA to provide qualifying CPE. CPE credit can qualify as such for CPAs provided that the CPE program sponsor has prepared and presents the course in accordance with The Statement of Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs jointly issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).   • Does this CPE count for IRS Enrolled Agents?
    This CPE seminar is NOT registered with the IRS, and therefore would not qualify as CPE for Enrolled Agents requiring IRS registration. That will be available in 2022, after it is announced. CLICK HERE for further IRS information for Enrolled Agents CPE.
  • Can Attorneys, Insurance Agents or CFPs Obtain CLE/CE Credit?"
    No. None of these courses provide CLE for attorneys, CE for Insurance Professionals or CE for Certified Financial Planners.

  • What is your CPE Record Retention Policy?
    JJ THE CPA CPE will retain the required materials for a minimum of five (5) years as specified by the current Statement of Standards of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs. Responsibility for ensuring the compliance with the record retention provisions will reside JJ THE CPA and JJ THE CPA will collect all relevant program materials and transmit them to headquarters for electronic archiving for the appropriate period. To fulfill this requirement items to be retained include (but not limited to): Records of participation Date and location of the program offerings Author/instructor, author/developer and reviewer names and credentials Instructor(s) name(s) and credentials Number of CPE credits earned by participants Results of program evaluations Program descriptive materials (course announcement information) In addition, information to be retained by developers includes copies of program materials, evidence that the program materials were developed and reviewed by qualified parties, and a record of how CPE credits were determined. For the CPA and/or tax attorney acting as an author/instructor, author/developer and reviewer for accounting or tax program(s), the state of licensure, license number and status of license will be maintained. For the enrolled agent acting in such capacity for tax program(s), information regarding the enrolled agent number will be maintained.   • What is your Program Cancellation Policy?
    Every effort will be made to fully conduct CPE programs sponsored by JJ THE CPA, that have been advertised. In the unlikely event that such a program needs to be cancelled for any reason, JJ THE CPA will notify all registered participants via email, letter or phone of the cancellation and will issue them a full refund. Additional notices of the program cancellation will be made through appropriate means such as our website, newsletter, or broadcast email.   • What is your Complaint Resolution Policy?

  • What is your Course Update Policy?
    All courses will include the most recent publications, revisions or review date. Courses will be revised as soon as feasible following changes to relative codes, laws, rulings, decisions, interpretations, etc. Courses in subjects that undergo frequent changes are reviewed by an individual with subject matter expertise at least once a year. Other courses will be reviewed at least every two years. For group internet based programs, the revision or review date will always be the date of the event.
